Interested in joining a co-ed tennis league playing Sunday afternoon?  Junior Team Tennis provides a great opportunity for weekly match play.  During the season, the player will get the chance to play both singles and doubles.

No doubt about it, Junior Team Tennis is right for you!

When registering for Junior Team Tennis (JTT) be sure and have both your ITF World Tennis Number (WTN) Rating and your USTA Member# available.

The tennis journey starts with red. Red balls can be made of foam or felt, are larger, bounce lower and travel slower than the standard yellow ball making it easier to learn and acquire skills.

Red Courts are short and narrow, making it easy for players to focus on learning the fundamentals of the game.

Orange balls travel through the air a little faster and farther than the red ball, but are the same size and still bounce lower than a yellow ball.

Slightly smaller than the full-size 78′ court, Orange Courts are ideal for players who are still developing their athletic, technical, and competitive skills.

Green balls have a slightly reduced bounce compared to the yellow ball making the transition to a full-size 78′ court much easier.

At this stage, while continuing to improve their tactical and technical skills, a player’s size does not hinder their ability to cover a full-size tennis court.

The Yellow level is what most people know as traditional tennis.

The balls, courts and racquets at this level are used in the majority of adult matches and at the professional level.

Developed by the International Tennis Federation, the world governing body of tennis, the ITF World Tennis number is one of the most advanced and accurate rating systems in the world.

If you’ve played with the USTA within the last 5+ years, either singles or doubles, you have an ITF World Tennis Number. Click here to find your profile and click here to find out which division you fall into.
